NEPTUNE BEACH, Fla. — A woman is alive after being rescued from a rip current during Hurricane Dorian Wednesday morning in Neptune Beach.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said a lifeguard was able to save the woman they said was standing along the shoreline and was knocked down by a current and pulled into it.
"DO NOT go to the beach," JSO said in a tweet.
Although many people have been intrigued by the impacts of Hurricane Dorian at Jacksonville-area beaches, police are asking them to stay away for their safety.
