SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. — A 21-year-old man is dead after the van he was riding in was involved in a crash with an SUV at about 6:14 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of SR 247 and CR 49. He was one of seven people, all from Mayo, Florida, in the van. The driver and the other passengers all sustained serious injuries, a Florida Highway Patrol news release states. None of the occupants in the van were wearing seatbelts, the news release states. The driver of the SUV, a 67-year-old woman from Branford, Florida, received minor injuries.
