JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A local disabled veteran is looking out for other local vets. He plans on starting a recycling business that will bring jobs to the area.
The warehouse is empty right now, but the plan is to bring local jobs for veterans.
"There's a lot of veterans in Jacksonville and I want to put every single one of them to work," said David Engler of Vets Recycling Inc. "Any vet that wants to work, we try to give them a job," Engler said.

Engler is planning to start a company called Vets Recycling, where they will help businesses recycle old material that they no longer need.
"We'll bring it in by truck loads of papers and we'll sort it and break it down into different grades of paper," Engler said.
Engler said his company will play two roles: one, to help companies get rid of waste and two, to help veterans get back on their feet.
"To me it's reprehensible, the word veteran and homeless," Engler said. "I want to help them. I just want to put them to work."
The company is supposed to be up and running sometime next week.
