Florida AMBER Alert: Missing Jacksonville girl found, police say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A missing 12-year-old girl from Jacksonville has been found, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued an AMBER Alert for 12-year-old Fernanda Arias and she was listed as a kidnapped child.

FDLE said in the alert that she was believed to be in the company of Jorge Reyes and they may be traveling in a dark-colored 2-door Honda with a large rear spoiler.

Reyes is described as a white, Hispanic male from Jacksonville. His age, height, weight, hair color were listed as “unknown” by FDLE.

Earlier Monday morning, JSO asked for the community’s help in locating Fernanda.

According to JSO, on Monday just before 3 a.m., officers responded to Beach Boulevard and Peach Drive to a reported missing child.

Police said Fernanda was seen leaving her home in the dark-colored 2-door Honda with a large rear spoiler before she was reported missing.

JSO said this continues to be an active investigation.
