The woman told troopers who the man was and a search began.

FHP, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the Florida Department of Corrections, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission looked for the driver in the woods with mounted units and K9s, Bryan said.

The driver was found around 3:30 p.m. and he was taken to a local hospital after an encounter with a K9.

Once the man is released from the hospital, he will face charges of reckless driving, and fleeing/eluding. He also had outstanding warrants, so he will face charges for those as well, Bryan said.
