BRUNSWICK, Ga. — Ofc. Nikki Tolley, who started a GoFundMe for her friend and colleague wrote, “On July 8, 2021 Officer S. Wright was called upon by her 6 year old daughter and 8 year old son as they rushed into the rear of their home screaming to their mommy that the house was on fire.”

Prayerfully, Ofc. Wright and her boyfriend Mr. Long were able to quickly get her and her children safely out of the residence without injury however, despite the prompt response of the fire department, her home and the contents within were a total loss.

”The goal of $5,000 was reached in less than 10 hours of creating the fundraiser, and now almost $20,000 has been raised. The community is stepping up big time to help Officer Shaniqua Wright and her family during this time and her neighbor,” Claire Head, says no one is more deserving.

The Brunswick Police Department also is accepting donations for the Wright family.
