In this week’s Original Restaurant Report, Action News Jax’s Ben Becker tells you about violations that inspectors found at local restaurants:

Becker paid a visit to the Athens Cafe on St. Augustine Road and tried to speak to the owner. Health inspectors found eight live roaches and 25 dead ones at the restaurant. It was temporarily closed.
While at the restaurant, Becker was told the problem was addressed and it has since reopened.

The Wendy’s on Lem Turner Road near Interstate 295 was also cited by health inspectors. In a recent inspection, raw sewage was found on the kitchen floor and an employee did not have a beard guard. The restaurant was temporarily closed.
The PGA Bar and Grill at Jacksonville International Airport was cited for potentially hazardous food temperatures, a dish machine sanitizer not at proper strength and dented, rusted cans.
