The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is searching for at least three suspects after seven people were shot outside the Eureka Gardens apartment complex early Monday morning.
JSO said it appears that the shooters used a pistol and rifle and fired more than 50 rounds.
People were gathered outside building 11 when the shooting happened. The suspects approached the group of people on foot and opened fire, JSO said. An infant was in the crowd, but was not struck by gunfire. Of the seven people shot, two are in life-threatening condition.
Investigators say it is not yet known if the shooting is gang-related, but they do believe that the group of people shot was targeted.
Property management tells Action News Jax that there is surveillance video of the incident and it has been turned over to police.
Anyone who has any information is asked to contact JSO at 904-630-0500 or email JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org. To remain anonymous and receive a possible reward up to $3,000 contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
