Video released by an attorney and a park ranger's call to 911 reveals the minutes after two teen girls were hit with a city truck on Atlantic Beach.
Timothy Thompson, the park ranger, said he didn't see the girls lying in the sand near the Oceanwalk private entrance on Saturday.
The police report said Thompson was making a u-turn when he heard loud screaming and saw a pedestrian run over to the truck.
At least one of the girls was trapped under the truck carriage. A passerby helped get her out.
When officials got to the beach, both girls were responsive.
One had scrapes and cuts and the other had an ankle injury. Police said Thompson will be cited.
A Jacksonville attorney who is representing one of the girls said his client is recovering.
Thompson: I'm down on Oceanwalk on the beach and I've ran over two people out here.
Operator: You ran over two people?
Thompson: Yes ma'am.
Operator: Alright, Tim we will be right out there so stay there, okay.
Thompson: Please hurry because they're in pain.
Operator: Okay, we will be right there.
