CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — Petco Love and Clay County Animal Services are looking for stories about pets adopted through Clay County. Submit a greatest “Love Story” showcasing how an adopted pet/s changed lives, and the Shelter at Clay County Animal Services could win up to $100,000 to support their ongoing life-saving efforts within the community. The winner will also receive additional prizes through Petco.
The Love Story should demonstrate how the adopted pet/s significantly changed a life for the better. The story should be celebration of the love shared.
As per their recent press release, “Stories can range from the simplest things that bring joy to life every day, to one-of-a-kind, extraordinary stories.”
Story submissions must be 500 words or less along with at least four high-quality photos which include a solo shot of the pet; one of the adopter and pet/s together; a family photo with the pet/s; or simply a beloved pet photo.
“Great photos can tell powerful stories, so submit photos that express the essence of yours,” they said.
AVI and MP4 video submissions are also welcomed. Petco will only consider Love Stories for pets that are currently living. Love Story submitters must be 18 years of age or older.
Shelter staff will choose the two best Clay County Love Stories for the contest submission. The deadline for submission to Clay County Animal Services is October 24.
Send your epic Love Story and four photos today to ClayAdoptions@ClayCountyGov.com .
“Pets change our lives just as much as we change theirs!” they concluded. “Owning a pet can relieve stress, lower blood pressure, provide physical comfort and emotional support, and even medical assistance. There is no limit to the joy and comfort pets bring us. You rescued them, now tell us how they rescued you!”
