The Georgia Department of Natural Resources gave AMC's "The Walking Dead" permission to shoot in Jekyll Island at Driftwood Beach, St. Andrews Beach and at the Jekyll Island Boat Ramp.
According to the dates scheduled in the letter of permission, the television show will be filming through the month of June.
At most there will be around 65 cast members at an shoot, plus over 100 crew members and the accompanying equipment.
Some of the filming may cause traffic delays and restricted access on Beachview Drive and Riverview Drive.
Between 150 and 225 cast and crew will be staying in Jekyll Island during the filming.
