JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Arlington Expressway is getting a major face-lift.
It doesn't matter where you live, problems like these exist all over the city, but in Arlington, it's a matter of life or death.
Gregory O'Gwinn told Action News Jax his walk to the bus stop is like a dangerous game of dodgeball.
"It's too small. It's too narrow. So people have to walk through grass and you might have to walk through dog stuff," O'Gwinn explained.
Action News Jax investigates first told you about a study that found between May 2010 and 2015 there were 100 crashes along the Arlington Expressway.

On Monday, crews began work on putting in new sidewalks between Arlingwood Avenue and Cesery Boulevard.
A Florida Department of Transportation spokesman told Action News Jax that the goal is to make the area more pedestrian-friendly.
"Everyone needs that type of safety," said neighbor Shaniesha Travet.
Construction will cover a 3-mile stretch of Arlington Expressway.
It will cost the city $2.8 million for new sidewalks
Some people are growing frustrated without them.
"It looks like they would've done the whole thing when they did this to the bus stop," said one neighbor.
O'Gwinn said he's ready for strolls along a new sidewalk without having to watch his step.
Overnight lane closures are expected from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. during construction, and some bus stop changes could be impacted.
