Attempted murder-suicide in parking garage after Georgia-Florida game, police say

Following the Georgia-Florida game, a woman reportedly fired shots at someone she knew, then shot and killed herself, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.

Police said the person she shot at was not injured.

The shooting occurred in a parking garage on Ashley Street and A Philip Randolph Boulevard.

Within minutes of receiving the call, officers and SWAT entered the parking garage to address the situation.

Upon finding the woman, officers performed CPR until medical personnel responded and pronounced her deceased.

JSO's homicide department is handling the investigation and working the death investigation as a suicide.

Police believe this is an isolated incident.
