Bradford woman arrested after throwing objects at her husband during fight over pickles, BCSO says

BRADFORD COUNTY, Fla. — Glenda Turner, 64, was arrested for battery after reportedly throwing a trophy football in a plastic case at her husband.

When Bradford County Sheriff’s Office arrived, they made contact with Turner who said she got into an argument with her husband, John Turner, over the pickles he purchased.

According to the police report John said Glenda did not like the pickles he purchased. He walked away to the other side of the house and Glenda followed him.

He sat in his recliner and Glenda picked up a “wooden novelty piece” and threw it a John’s right ankle. John picked up the wooden piece and placed it on the entertainment center.

Then, Glenda picked up a trophy football within a plastic case and attempted to throw that as well.

John tried to stop her but when he let go, Glenda lost her balance and dropped the football case and fell into the door causing her arm to bleed.

Glenda refused medical attention.

John received a Victims/Witness Right brochure and Domestic Violence brochure.

John did not want to press charges on his wife.

Glenda was arrested and transported to the Bradford County Jail without incident.
