Person rescued from submerged car near I-95 near 9B taken to hospital with critical injuries

One person was pulled from a vehicle that went into a retention pond of Interstate 95 and 9B at exit 333.

Crews were visible on the DOT cam performing CPR on the victim before the person was transported to the hospital.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — According to a tweet from the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, crews are responded Saturday afternoon to a vehicle submerged in a retention pond off Interstate 95 at exit 333.

One person was seen being rescued from the water on the Department of Transportation traffic cam before they were given CPR and brought into an ambulance.
