CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — The Clay County Sheriff’s Office said it busted a drug house Thursday and removed a 10-year-old boy from living in deplorable conditions.
Deputies shared pictures after busting the Middleburg home, where they said meth was being made.
The Sheriff’s Office said they were tipped off about the home on John’s Cemetery Road on a Sheriff’s Walk.
CCSO arrested Charles McMillan on meth charges. They said he and Keri Oliver had the child in a home full of maggots, dirty laundry and trash.
A deputy described it as completely uninhabitable.

“It’s a known drug house,” said Michelle McCreary, who lives nearby with her three kids.
CCSO left a message on the front porch of the home: "You had options."
“We are really excited about it, because Clay County, Middleburg, small town, you want it to stay safe, especially for the kids,” McCreary said.
Action News Jax obtained the police calls for service history to the home for this year. Including this call, there have been 11 in total.
Two were for a suspicious person, one was for a burglary and three involved illegal burning or fires.
Deputies said the child is with his grandmother. McCreary just hopes he’s getting the care he needs.
“So that they can learn that it’s not their fault and learn that there are healthy ways to live,” McCreary said.
Deputies said serving this warrant led to other investigations in the area. Action News Jax saw them at a home up the street on Blue Knoll Road, where people inside home were arrested for "maintaining a drug dwelling, child neglect, failure to register as a sex offender and possession of heroin," CCSO said in a tweet Thursday night.
