The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said a child has drowned at a community pool on the 3400 block of Drayton Park Drive.
The pool is reportedly located in a private gated community.
Police said the 7-year-old was taken to a hospital by Jacksonville Fire Rescue where the child was pronounced dead.
Homicide detectives are investigating the drowning, officials said.
