JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — In observance of Christmas, numerous City government offices and facilities will be closed on Tuesday, December 24, and Wednesday, December 25, 2024.

Closures include:
- City Hall at St. James
- Ed Ball Building
- Jake M. Godbold City Hall Annex
- Yates Building (The Office of the Tax Collector, including all Tax Collector branch offices and The Office of the Property Appraiser)
- Duval County Courthouse
- Supervisor of Elections main office
- Municipal Code Compliance Division
- Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department administrative offices
- Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department offices
- All community and senior centers and gymnasiums are managed by the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department
- Tillie K. Fowler Regional Park Nature Center
- Victim Services Center
- Kids Hope Alliance
- Social Service Division Emergency Assistance office
- Right-of-Way and Stormwater Management Division administrative offices
- Mowing and Landscape Maintenance Division administrative offices
- Solid Waste Division administrative offices
- Household Hazardous Waste Facility
- The Ritz Theatre & Museum
- Cecil Gym and Fitness Center
Garbage, Recycling, and Yard Waste Collection
There will be no service on Wednesday, December 25. Instead, trash for those with Wednesday pickups will take place on Saturday, December 28.
630-CITY Customer Service Center
The office will be closed Tuesday, December 24th through 8 am Thursday, December 26th. Customers may request a city service anytime online at myjax.custhelp.com.
Jacksonville Public Library
All locations will be closed on Tuesday, December 24, and Wednesday, December 25.
ACPS
ACPS will be open from 10 am - 2 pm on Tuesday, December 24 and 9 am-12 pm on Wednesday, December, 25.
Tennis Centers
All tennis centers will be closed on Tuesday, December 24, and Wednesday, December 25. However, hard courts and pickleball courts will be open for free play.
Huguenot Memorial Park
Huguenot Memorial Park will open at 6 am for park day users, annual pass holders, and early bird ticket holders on Tuesday, December 24, and Wednesday, December 25. All day-use visitors, except for paid campers and authorized visitors, must exit the park by 6 pm. Campground visitors are permitted however they must purchase a visitor’s pass by 5 p.m. before the front office closes in order to stay until 10 pm and must leave promptly.
Camping reservations close at 5 pm Pre-paid campers can check in up until 9:30 p.m. Campers may exit and reenter the park until 11:00 pm. No reentry after 11 pm.
Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park
Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park will open at 8 a.m. and will close at the regular time of 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24, and Wednesday, December 25. Early bird and annual passes are required for entry from 6 a.m.- 8 a.m. Park Day-users and campground visitors may enter from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. All visitors, except permitted campers and their authorized visitors with passes, must depart by 6 pm.
Camping reservations close at 6 p.m. daily. Only campers with prepaid reservations can gain access from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. People without a prepaid pass waiting for them will not be admitted after 5:30 pm. All campers must check in by 9 pm, and have tents and RVs set up by 9:30 pm. After 9 pm, no one may enter to set up on a campsite.
