JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — The top two violators this week are no strangers to the restaurant report.
Health inspectors went to Clark’s Fish Camp & Seafood and found eight live flies in the kitchen, more than 15 live roaches and 10 dead roaches. It was temporarily shut down and reopened after two follow-up inspections.
Clark’s Fish Camp & Seafood was closed in 2015 for a food-borne illness investigation. It was closed again later that year after it was affected by severe flooding. The restaurant was severely damaged last October by Hurricane Matthew and was closed again for an extended period.
The Casa Marina Hotel & Restaurant in Jacksonville Beach had six live roaches, more than 20 rodent droppings, and flies in the bar area. A follow up inspection is required
A health inspector at Bono’s Pit BBQ on Norwood Avenue found hot food, including chicken, ribs and pork, held too cold. The inspectors also found undercooked pork. Cold food was also held too warm and employees added more ice to the freezer. A follow-up inspection is required.
