An Action News Jax source sent us a report that states in one of the emails the teacher wrote, “If he were her, he would not let himself on campus.”

Another email said, “It may be too late.”

“At least he reached out and let someone know something was wrong, that’s a good thing,” former coworker Yvonne Sanger said.

Sanger thinks this was a cry for help.

“If you’re telling someone something is wrong and you’re emailing, there are facts there,” Sanger said.

This report states that a welfare check was conducted after the teacher’s supervisor started worrying about the teacher’s safety and the safety of others.

“If it didn’t happen at school, I’m kind of in between on that,” a parent said.

The officer reported that the teacher was acting erratic and was taken into custody to seek mental help.

A spokesperson for the school district said they cannot discuss employee matters. Parents said they are upset they didn’t get notified by the school.

A spokesperson for the school district said they weren’t notified because the incident did not happen on campus.
