Clay County Sheriff’s Office said that all members of family missing located safe

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — UPDATE: The Clay County Sheriff’s Office has announced that Yanique Edwards and her 14-year-old daughter, Janna Earrett, have both been located and are safe.

A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office said that investigators found Edwards and her daughter walking along Blanding Boulevard just after 7 p.m. on Thur., Sept. 29.

At this time there have been no charges filed. Detectives are talking to Edwards to see exactly why her son Malachi was unintended since 9 a.m. Thursday.

The spokesperson also explained that he doesn’t if and when Edwards will be reunited with her son. Malachi is currently with the Department of Children and Families.

The sheriff’s office said it is just happy to have located mom and daughter safely as that was their main goal.

Malachi is five years old and was found unattended at the InTown Suites located at 442 Blanding Blvd in Orange Park.

CCSO is attempting to locate Yanique Kamika Edwards -- the mother of Malachi Walker. If you know where Ms. Edwards is, please contact the Clay County Sheriff’s Office or have her call us immediately at (904) 264-6512.

We are also attempting to locate Yanique Edwards’ 14-year-old daughter, Janna Earrett. There is a possibility that they could be together. We do not believe they are in danger at this time but would like to check on them to confirm their well-being.
