CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — UPDATED STORY 9/30/2020- Jason Brian Goff pleaded guilty to attempted production of child pornography. He faces a minimum mandatory penalty of 15 years, and up to 30 years, in federal prison.
ORIGINAL STORY 9/13/2019- On Friday, the State Attorney’s Office released information involving a custodian at Clay High School filming students in a girls' locker room.
According to the State Attorney's Office, Jason Brian Goff, 42, is accused of taping a cellphone into an unassigned locker with the camera lens of the phone pointed out into the locker room.
According to the State Attorney's Office, on Aug. 22, two female students noticed the camera and alerted school authorities who opened the locker and found the phone.
The State Attorney's Office said that Goff had access to the locker room and to the locker as a school janitor.
The cellphone had images and videos of high school girls changing, according to the State Attorney's Office.
The State Attorney's Office said that one of the videos shows the Clay County School identification badge of the person holding the phone, the badge and photo of Goff.
There were also selfies of Goff on the phone, according to the State Attorney's Office.
Goff has been arrested on a criminal complaint charging him with attempted production of child pornography, according to the State Attorney's Office.
The State Attorney's Office said Goff faces between 15 and 30 years in federal prison and potentially a life term of supervised release if convicted.
Goff was employed at the school starting on July 24, 2018.
Goff's next court appearance is Sept. 17.

"I have a 14-year-old daughter as well," said Clay High parent Tina Neu. "So it's scary to know that, how easily, and how quickly it can happen to very unsuspecting children."
Statement from Clay County School District:
Jason Goff is currently employed through Clay County District Schools as a custodian at Clay High School. Goff is suspended pending the outcome of an investigation by the Department of Homeland Security. The District hired Goff in 2012 after an extensive background check required for all employees. At no time during Goff's employment were there any concerns relating to his tenure. Upon receiving notification of the investigation, the District took immediate action and will continue to partner with all agencies involved.
