The U.S. Coast Guard said the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office located the body of a person who reportedly fell in the St. Johns River Thursday morning.
Family members tell Action News Jax his name is Stanley Cooper, 51. They tell us he worked with Archer Western for several years and loved his job. Cooper was found by searchers around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
Cooper was a father of two, his family said.
Action News Jax searched Occupational Safety and Health Administration records for Archer Western found the company was just cited in February. Two workers were killed in Miami when a concrete barrier fell on them.
The company was fined a little more than $33,000 in violations.
