Jacksonville, Fla. — On Wednesday, Jacksonville steakhouse Cowford Chophouse announced they raised nearly $23,000 to benefit the Jacksonville Arts and Music School (JAMS) at their fifth annual MOO-VE- IT 5K earlier this month.
JAMS is a creative youth development organization that provides arts education and leadership development to students in grades 3-10 from underserved communities in Jacksonville.
The record-breaking donation surpassed the $18,245 donated to JAMS from the 2020 race, helping JAMS expand their Springfield facility, which now includes 10,000 square feet of renovated space with a film room, editing bay, dance and art studios, music spaces and an upgraded performance theatre, said a Cowford representative.
“We are incredibly grateful for Cowford’s continued support, and the support of the entire community after the challenging year we’ve all faced,” said Jason Peoples, executive director at JAMS “This generous donation will help sustain our growth as an organization and contribute to our expansion efforts, building a facility and programs to produce even more young creative thinkers and talent for years to come.”
