Mandarin High School students, staff returning to classes after bomb threat lockdown

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — 10:39 A.M. UPDATE: Students and staff are returning to class after police have searched the campus and deemed it safe. Parents are still asked not to come to the campus.

10:14 A.M. UPDATE: A parent staging area has been arranged at Christ's Church Mandarin Campus located at 6045 Greenland Road, according to the school district.

"All students and staff remain safe. The campus remains under lockdown while it is searched."

Mandarin High School is currently on a code yellow lockdown due to a bomb threat it received Monday morning, according to Duval County Public Schools.

Police are currently searching the school's campus. Action News Jax has learned students and faculty members have been moved to the gym and auditorium, locations police have deemed safe.

The school district is asking parents to not come to the campus at this time.
