JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — Jax Beach Deck The Chairs event organizers and volunteers are closely monitoring the weather.

Officials said rain and fog could impact the event through Thursday.
“Weather events are always the greatest challenge for Deck The Chairs organizers and volunteers,” DTC Founder Kurtis Loftus. said in a news release. “We work all year planning and developing for the 6-week event in public space, and every year we always move through some type of challenging weather event.”
Saturated ground and air moisture make electrical work difficult and sometimes unsafe.
Officials expect to be able to relight the entire park by Friday morning.
