Drivers on southbound I-295 at the Buckman Bridge will see double lane closures this weekend to allow crews to shift traffic and perform restriping activities as they move into a new phase of construction on the Buckman Bridge signals project.
Lane closures are scheduled to begin Friday, March 26 at 10 p.m. through Monday, March 29 at 5 a.m., weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
During that time, the Roosevelt Boulevard ramps to southbound I-295 will be detoured to northbound I-295, where drivers can return to southbound I-295 via Blanding Boulevard.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution and plan ahead when traveling through the construction zone.
The $10.5 million project is expected to be completed by the end of 2021.
