JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Dr. Howard S. Schneider, the former pediatric dentist accused by a group of parents of hurting children, was arrested Monday.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Inmate Information Search, Schneider was arrested on 11 counts of unauthorized Medicaid claims.
Schneider turned himself into to JSO around 4 p.m. Monday, according to the office of Attorney General Pam Bondi.

His total bond is listed at $110,033, according to JSO's Inmate Information Search. He was released on bail just after 9:30 p.m. Monday night. Schneider does not have a court date scheduled at this time.
Schneider's former home at 2959 Riverside Avenue is still for sale at $699,000 even though he moved out in June. According to Zillow, the home's price was reduced in September. Schneider's lawyer filed a motion on Friday requesting temporary attorney's fees from his former wife Deborah.
In April, several parents reported to Action News Jax that their children had been hurt by Schneider. Protesters camped outside Schneider's office for weeks until he finally closed his practice and gave up his medical licenses in Florida and Georgia.
