JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — In less than 24 hours, two men lost their lives in two separate motorcycle crashes in Jacksonville.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said a male in his late-20s died after he lost control of a reportedly stolen motorcycle and hit a curb.

The crash happened Friday around 9:20 p.m. at Hammond Boulevard and Ramona Boulevard W near Trinity Christian Academy.
The rider was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to JSO.
In the second crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said a 23-year-old man died after running a red light on Normandy Boulevard near Interstate 295 just after 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
The rider hit the side of a truck that had a green arrow light, turning onto Normandy Boulevard. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
According to the FHP report, the rider was wearing a helmet.

The sheriff’s office said its homicide traffic division has been called out four nights in a row for different investigations.
JSO Lieutenant Rich Buoye reminded the public: “Do not ride a motorcycle unless certified to ride safely, pay attention, do not ride or drive beyond limits or abilities.”
