Child hurt in marine incident near JAXPORT, JFRD says

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE 8:25 p.m.: The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said a boat hit a sandbar and a child was sent into the air from the impact.

JFRD retrieved the child from the water to be transported to the hospital. The child is not in critical condition and they are expected to recover.
