JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Duval County School Board approved a multimillion-dollar contract to allow the district to make sure all students have access to laptops.
The district goal is to have a 1 to 1 student, laptop ratio. To do that, the district wants to lease 50,000 laptops.
This will cost the district over 30 million dollars in the next five years.
Also at the meeting, the board approved the purchase of up to 250 thousand dollars worth of anti-microbial surface protectant.
