JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A local family tells Action News Jax that a group of kids broke into a home and shot and killed a man.
The shooting happened Monday night. It was the latest in a string of at least six shootings in Jacksonville over Labor Day weekend.
A quiet home on Huron Street was the scene of the massive investigation.

Police reported around 8 p.m. Monday night a 28-year-old man had been shot inside the home on Huron Street and pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Today, the family told Action News it was all caught on Ring cameras.
They say that the video has been turned over to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. I have also requested a copy.
The family says seven boys and one girl came into the house. One family member who was able to identify them says they were all minors. I’m told from the view on the Ring video, five of them had guns.
Our crime and safety expert, Dale Carson tells me if this is the case, they will all face the same charges.
Carson says everyone involved will be charged.
“Everyone involved can be charged with that major crime. They are all co-conspirators.”

The family tells me the group started robbing the house. From there they did not want to go into details, but by the time the group left they stole Jordans, food, and a 28-year-old, nicknamed “Hallelujah,” had been shot.
“The police of the people and the people are the police. And that combination is what leads to the resolution of crimes.”
