JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE 9/4/21:
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said a male in his late-20s died after he lost control of a reportedly stolen motorcycle, hit the curb, then laid the bike down. The crash happened around 9:20 p.m. Friday on Hammon Boulevard and Ramona Boulevard W.
JSO said the man was riding a Honda Shadow which was reported stolen Monday from Old St. Augustine Road.
The rider was not wearing his helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
This is the 154th traffic fatality in Jacksonville since 2021.
JSO wants to remind the public to not ride a motorcycle unless you are certified to do so and to pay attention while driving/riding.

There has been a fatal crash on Hammond Boulevard at Ramona Boulevard, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Due to the crash, the north entrance at Trinity Christian Academy is closed and parents are asked to use the middle and south entrance to pick up their children.
Hammond Boulevard is closed from I-10 to Rockland Drive.
