JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Aviation Authority says they have started an ‘aggressive planning process’ to prepare for the 2020 Republican National Convention with airlines.
Jacksonville University Assoc. Aviation Professor Capt. Wayne Ziskal says Jacksonville is well equipped to handle the tens of thousands of people expected to be at this convention.
Ziskal says, “If this was a normal summer then we would probably have a huge overload with the influx coming in in the middle of August and it might certainly tax the facilities but it’s not a normal summer.”
