JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville has yet another Florida Lottery winner.
Lottery officials announced Wednesday that Fidel Charles, 28, of Jacksonville, was one of two Floridians to recently claim at least $1 million, just in time for the holidays.
Charles played the $20 scratch-off game called GOLD RUSH LIMITED and won $1 million. He chose to take home his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $795,000.

He purchased his winning ticket at the Sunoco convenience store, located at 6010 Moncrief Road on the city’s Northside. The store will get $2,000 for selling the winning ticket.

The Florida Lottery said Arnulfo Chavez-Bermudez, 38, of Princeton, claimed the $5 million lottery prize for the same game that he purchased in Homestead, and chose to take home his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $3,960,000. The store that sold him the ticket will receive a $10,000 bonus commission.
This particular scratch-off game launched in September.

Big winner in Bradford Brandon Trinckes, 24, of Hampton, claimed the million-dollar prize after hitting it big on the $5,000,000 CRASHWORD scratch-off game. He chose to receive his winnings at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $780,000. (Florida Lottery)
