Jacksonville man participating in national ‘dad bod’ competition

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — There’s a competition to find the best “dad bod” in the country and one Jacksonville man is up for the task.

Joseph Phelps entered the national Legendary Dad Bod competition, along with more than 100 other men competing for the title.

From chugging beer to downing pizzas and food from Chipotle, Phelps said he’s more than qualified for the top spot.

He seems to be right. As of Wednesday morning, Phelps is in first place in his group.

The winner of the competition will win $25,000 and a two-page interview in Men’s Journal magazine.

If he wins, Phelps plans to donate $10,000 to a local charity that helps veterans fighting depression.
