JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — This weekend is proving to be a very violent one in Jacksonville. In total, there have been six reported shootings since Saturday.
The latest shooting happened in the 8100 block of Fort Caroline Road on Sunday.
Around 3 p.m. police found a male victim inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound around the shoulder and neck area. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police are unsure if the shooting happened on Fort Caroline Road or at the nearby Topaz Plaza Apartments at 3700 University Club Blvd. The investigation is ongoing and detectives are determining if there is any evidence to be collected inside the vehicle.
There is at least one suspect but there is no indication that the public is in any danger according to police.

Around 2 a.m. on Sunday, a man was found with gunshot wounds in the 3000 block of North Main Street. The man is expected to recover, according to police.
Not much is known about any suspects in this incident but police believe a Hispanic male in a black Cadillac Escalade may be connected. He was seen driving away from the area around the time of the incident.

Police were then called out to the 6300 block of Melissa Court West at 2 p.m. on Sunday. They found a woman with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and she was transported to the hospital.
Police determined that a gray vehicle pulled up to a residence in the area and shot into it when the woman was hit.
