Jacksonville school evacuated after reported electrical fire

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Neptune Beach Police and the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department were on the scene of a small electrical fire Thursday afternoon at Fletcher High School.

According to Neptune Beach Police, the fire started in an outdoor pool pump room. Classrooms were evacuated as a precaution.

A student from Fletcher, Jack Rowan tweeted the fire was right next to his portable and he had to run through a large cloud of smoke to escape.
