Jacksonville woman claims $1 million from playing $5 lottery scratch-off game

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A local woman played a $5 Gold Rush Classic scratch-off game and claimed the $1 million top prize Monday.

Ursula Honderick, of Jacksonville, chose to claim her prize in a one-time, lump-sum payment of $705,000, according to the Florida Lottery.

She purchased the winning scratch-off game ticket at the Publix located at 950 Blanding Boulevard in Orange Park.

The store will receive $2,000 for selling the winning ticket.
