Jaguars’ defensive end Adam Gotsis starts “Project 96 Toy Drive” for children in foster care

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —

With roughly 153 million orphans worldwide, according to the United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund, Adam Gotsis, a defensive end with the Jacksonville Jaguars, has started a toy drive for children in foster care.

Gotsis, and his partner Riley, started the “Project 96 Toy Drive” to help ensure 96 children in foster care will have a present to open this Christmas.

They have partnered with One More Child and Walmart to help the children feel joy and love this holiday season.

Gotsis, who is from Australia, ventured over to the states for his football career, and quickly became very familiar with feeling alone, not having any family or friends locally.

His teammates and coaches eventually embraced him as family, giving him the support and encouragement everyone needs.

“Our family knows how important it is to feel loved and special during the holiday season; this is why we’ve partnered with Walmart and One More Child. We want to ensure children in foster care experience love and joy during this time,” Gotsis said.

If you would like to help donate a toy this year, The Project 96 Toy Drive registry list can be found here.
