JSO: Man shot at Red Roof Inn in Argyle Forest, suspects on the run

This is the second shooting at the same hotel in less than two months.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man was shot in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn in Argyle Forest Tuesday evening, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Officers responded around 5:30 p.m. to the hotel on Youngerman Circle and found an adult male lying in the parking lot suffering from a serious, but non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Police said there are two male suspects who fled the scene in a black car. There was no further description provided on the suspects or the car.

Investigators are searching for surveillance videos around the area and interviewing witnesses.

Less than two months ago Action News Jax reported a man was shot dead inside a hotel room at the same Red Roof Inn.

When asked if police respond to this hotel often, the officer said “We respond to the area too frequently.”
