JSO: Suspect apprehended after attempted carjacking on the Northbank

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating after an attempted carjacking on East Bay Street Tuesday night.

According to detectives, at around 7 p.m., officers responded to a call about an attempted robbery. They were able to quickly apprehend the suspect after he attempted carjack two victims with wire cutters.

Robbery and violent crime detectives reported to the scene and are conducting an ongoing investigation.
