Landmark Middle School to increase security measures on Friday due to reports of threats

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Due to reports of threats at Landmark Middle School, the school’s principal sent an email to parents on Thursday about increased security measures for Friday.

These measures include screenings, bag checks and additional police officers at the Duval County public school.

“We take all reports of threats seriously,” the email stated.

Landmark Middle School has not confirmed whether students will be excused if they choose to stay home.
