JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE Oct. 29: The suspect, Daisean Biffle, pleads not guilty in shooting.

Two people were shot at the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Jacksonville off of Pecan Park Road, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

When JSO arrived around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, they located one woman dead and one man hurt.

The man was transported to a local hospital and his condition is unknown, according to JSO.

At this time JSO says it does not appear to be an active shooter situation, an act of workplace violence and JSO believes there is no threat to the public at this time.

JSO told Action News Jax the weapon was recovered and they are doing a sweep of the facility out of precaution.

“This is a terrible tragedy. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families, and all those who have been impacted by this incident. We are working closely with the Sheriff as they investigate," Amazon spokesperson Leah Seay said.

Amazon leaders say they’re offering counseling and support to employees.

This is the second shooting at the facility this year. Action News Jax reported in June when another shooting left a man dead and two others hurt at the facility.
