Proceeds raised at this year’s event will benefit three crucial health care programs in Northeast Florida: the Leon L. Haley Jr., M.D., Brain Wellness Program at UF Health Jacksonville, Trauma Injury Prevention, also at UF Health Jacksonville, and the Brooks Brain Injury Clubhouse. Last year, $40,000 was raised for the three organizations.

The Haley Brain Wellness Program honors Dr. Leon Haley Jr., former CEO and dean of the UF College of Medicine in Jacksonville, who passed away in July 2021. The program serves veterans in their battle against PTSD and other medical issues related to their service.

UF Health TraumaOne is home to Northeast Florida’s only adult and pediatric Level I trauma center. UF Health has a long history of caring for patients who experience traumatic brain injuries, with highly trained physicians and staff saving countless lives over the past four decades.
