26-year-old shot, killed in Arlington following argument, police say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 26-year-old man is dead after a shooting in Arlington and the alleged shooter is in custody, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

Police said they were initially called out to the area of 3200 Bourbon Aly West, not far from Jacksonville University, because of an argument around 3:30 a.m. Thursday. While officers were heading to the area, JSO said the call was upgraded to a shooting.

When officers arrived they said a 26-year-old man had been shot and killed and found in an alley of an apartment complex. Action News Jax saw several officers at the University Townhomes apartments.

JSO said the alleged shooter and a witness are in custody. The Sheriff’s Office said it is waiting for a search warrant to enter the area where the man was shot and killed.
