JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A shooting on Jacksonville’s Southside left a man seriously hurt and another with minor injuries Friday morning.
Officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to the Park At Avellino Apartment Homes on Baymeadows Road near Old Kings Road South just after 7 a.m. and found a man who had been shot multiple times.

He was taken to a hospital and has life-threatening injuries.
Police said another person was hurt in the shooting after a bullet went through an apartment wall.
That person is not believed to be involved in the incident and is expected to be OK.
JSO is currently searching for the suspects, two men, who left the area in a red sedan.

Police believe the shooting was an isolated incident and it appears to be no threat to the community.
Detectives are investigating.
