JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Vystar Credit Union is gearing up for the 2023 Jacksonville Film Festival set for this weekend.

Tickets are on sale now and the multi-day event is expected to run from Feb. 3 to 5 at multiple locations throughout the city.
According to the official website, the event was created in 2002 by John Monsky and Karen Sadler as a non-profit cultural organization. It celebrates the art of local artists by discovering a showcasing their work on a city-wide public scale and streams dozens of the hundreds of films submitted each year to an audience comprised of local, national and international festival-goers.
Jacksonville has over a century old independent film industry. The purpose of the Jacksonville Film Festival is said to serve as a destination for the film community and encourage the next generation of filmmakers.
