JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Families are mourning the loss of three young adults who were killed in a hit-and-run accident early Sunday morning.
Balloons and teddy bears lie next to the pieces of the black car BMW they were in.
Police said a silver car hit the BMW and caused it to hit a tree and burst into flames on Duval Station Road around 2 a.m.
The silver car took off and left John Curtis Carlisle, Allison Bushey and Jonathan Kyle Cassani dead, according to police.
“He was a good, good person,” said Cassani’s girlfriend Katelynn Boucher.
Boucher says Cassani, 23, was her high school sweetheart and the two had a baby girl together.
"He would always, always talk to me whenever she was in my belly saying 'I’m so grateful for you,'" said Boucher.
Family told Action News Jax that the other two in the car, 24-year-old Carlisle and 21-year-old Bushey, were dating and Carlisle was a father of two.
“He had two beautiful kids and they’ll miss him so much,” said Boucher.
There’s been a huge outpouring of support for the three young adults on social media.
Someone who appeared to be Carlisle’s relative wrote on Facebook, “I can’t stop the tears, I’m ready to wake up from this sick nightmare and hear my brothers voice calling me care bear.”
Another person wrote, “May all three of you rest easy, we will find them.”
