UPDATED STORY - Cleveland Rolack, the 19-year-old suspect accused of shooting at police officers Wednesday during a planned proactive enforcement operation, has been arrested, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office said police were doing proactive enforcement in an unmarked and uncover vehicle near Connally and West 13th Street when the officers noticed Rolack walking while gripping a handgun.
Authorities say the butt end of the grip was clearly visible.
The Sheriff's Office said police officers approached Rolack and when they opened their vehicle doors the suspect opened fire on them. An FBI agent in the vehicle returned gunfire, according to the Sheriff's Office.
JSO said the suspect then ran and after an extensive search het was located, uninjured. No police officers were injured the Sheriff's Office said.
JSO said Rolack is a convicted felon who was on probation. The Sheriff's Office said Rolack is facing charges of three counts of aggravated assault on law enforcement officers and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
ORIGINAL STORY - The FBI response team is on-scene after a planned law enforcement operation occurred Wednesday evening near Danson and West 13th streets.
FBI said that shots were fired during the operation, but it's unclear at this time if agents, suspects, or both fired.
No one was injured and the suspect is in custody, according to the FBI.
